Product Description
Chvetol Multipurpose Grease 2 & 3 are superior quality lithium base greases, having excellent thermal and structural stability along with excellent resistance to water. The combination of high quality basestock with synergistic blend of antioxidants, rust inhibitors, etc. makes the greases suited to a wide range of usage areas. Chevetol Multipurpose Grease No. 2 & No. 3 are available in NLGI 2 & 3 consistency respectively.
Applications / Recommendations
Chevetol Multipurpose greases are recommended for multipurpose automotive applications such as wheel bearings, chassis points, as well as for industrial applications like water pump bearings, machine tools, grease lubricated gears, couplings and universal joints. Chevetol Multipurpose Grease 2 is pumpable and can be dispensed by centralized greasing systems and is recommended for all general grease lubrication areas. Chevetol Multipurpose Grease 3 is recommended for wheel bearings, due to its excellent resistance to shearing

Measuring Method
Worked Penetration is measured in accordance with ASTM D 217 at 25°C and 60/60 strokes.
Base Oil Viscosity is measured in accordance with ASTM D 445.
Dropping Point is measured in accordance with ASTM D 566.
Water Wash Out Percentage is measured in accordance with ASTM D 1264 at 80°C max.
Emcor Rust Protection is measured in accordance with IP 200 method.
Oxidation Stability measures pressure drop at 99°C max after 100 hours in accordance with ASTM D 942 method.
